Listen to Norse tunes while you review information about joining a tribe.
joining a SVEIT (TRIBE)
Anyone can join a Sveit, including women, children, and men without status in the Víkingaherr, at the sole discretion of the Sveitsforinjar (Tribe Leaders). However, Sveitsforinjar, as well as any individual with a leadership or authority position in the Sveit must have achieved status within Víkingaherr (Hirðmaðr, Hersir, or Berserkr).
Each Sveit is led and represented by one or two Sveitsforinjar. The Sveitsforinjar are responsible for all matters pertaining to their Sveit, as well as for all actions and activites involving the members of their Sveit. Sveitsforinjar are the only points of contact between their Sveit and Víkingaherr or any level of the organization. Additionally, only those with status within Víkingaherr are recognized by the organization and privy to organization’s matters.
Each tribe is represented at the þing (Assembly) for matters of importance to the organization as a whole. Additionally, while members of a tribe are encouraged to resolve their differences at the tribe level, including through the use of force with hólmgöngur, each tribe falls under the jurisdiction of Fimtardómr (Fifth Court) for dispute arbitration.
The following are those local Sveitir that have agreed to be listed and are potentially open to accepting new members. Please communicate directly with each individual Sveit.
