Population genomics of the Viking world

The Swedish media, quickly followed by their counterpart in Denmark, ran yet another sensational story claiming that Vikings weren’t Scandinavian after all, and in fact very multicultural, based on a recent study spearheaded by Ashot Margaryan, who is from Armenia.

First, the study, “Population genomics of the Viking world”, primarily refers to various influxes between Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Iceland (actual Scandinavian countries), as well as towards England and other European countries, from Scandinavia. Hardly multicultural, and nothing not already known considering the Vikings’ patterns of raiding most of the western world.

Secondly, the study sequenced the genomes of 442 humans across Europe. None of them established as being actual Vikings (they could have been, and likely were, slaves). With the sample also not being sufficiently significant to allow for any actual conclusion, outside of some wild extrapolations, now the norm in “progressive science” as long as findings reinforces the radical left agenda of inclusion at the cost of eliminating facts, culture, history, and science. In other words, the study is completely flawed and defies all previously established scientific methods.

At the end of the day, cultural marxism will never change our culture, history or science. Vikings were, in fact, Scandinavian, and no radical left propaganda will ever change that.
