We know and understand healthcare cannot be handled at the individual level. But we are also tribal. So we favor universal healthcare but only under very specific conditions.
Namely, a highly effective and streamlined system, like in Norway, where our taxes are well spent and where medical care is exceptional and efficient. Only with a homogenous population (like it is overall the case still in Norway), because any form of social support only works when everyone shares the same values and same culture, and thus, will not abuse the system and will contribute to it. We are also fine contributing to the welfare of our own, but not that of foreigners of incompatible cultures.
However, we oppose any form of universal healthcare in the United States, because the U.S. were never set up for it, because there are far too many (illegal) migrants, and because Obamacare was a disaster of epic proportions.
