About Wildfires

Naturally, fires would be frequent, often triggered by lightning. The frequency, however, meant minimal fuel built up on the ground, and minor, albeit frequent fires, that often only cleaned up the ground from debris, without affecting mature trees or much of the wildlife. Such fires were even essential for forest canopy regeneration, as trees such as Jack Pines, Table Mountain pines, or Lodge Pines have so-called “serotinous cones”, which need a fire to sweep through to melt their resin and to open up to release the seeds essential for new trees to come to life.

Then man, driven by the "god-given" duty to control nature and the wilderness inherent to Christian doctrine decided to prevent wildfires. Without frequent fires to burn essentially crap, fuel started building up, invariably leading to less frequent fires, but catastrophic in scale, both in destruction of mature trees and often primeval forest, and wildlife. Once a primeval forest is gone, it is indeed gone forever. The practice of suppressing natural wildfires therefore had permanent catastrophic environmental consequences.

At some point, however, a couple of decades ago, man came to his senses, some countries decided to look at science, and started understanding the benefits of natural, as well as prescribed fires. The United States Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and National Park Services embraced science, and started to actually manage the land properly, by allowing natural wildfires, and even prescribed or controlled fires, including in ranch and grasslands, but also forests. Canada never really understood fire science though, contrary to popular belief. The only reason some fires are left alone in Canada is because there is no reasonable resources to attend them (like that fire in northern Yukon/NWT, in the Richardson Mountains, that has been going on for years).

Then women got involved, and decided it was a bad thing to do to allow natural fires, let alone controlled fires, because science was a "white man" thing and product of the patriarchy, and had to be discarded for the benefit of a more inclusive, albeit completely unscientific, approach. At the time many of us were going through universities in the U.S., including Oregon State, we were going against the flow by promoting fires as a natural process and good land management. Already accused back then of “mansplaining”, abuse of the land and women (somehow), and actually of being “very stupid” for wanting natural or controlled fires.

The situation did not improve as time went by, and over the past two decades, science was taken over by women, and ultimately Marxists, not only wildly opposing any natural or controlled fires, but also other land management approaches designed to mitigate the risk of having suppressed natural fires for so long. The extremists, calling themselves environmentalists, effectively prevented any government agency, and even private land owners, from managing their land, under the lunatic premise that fires or land management was bad for the environment, killed wildlife, and even cause global warming. We even had such radical leftists attempt to prevent us from managing our own land in Montana on multiple occasions.

In addition to essentially banning any land management or natural as well as prescribed fires, the same women also decided to increase the population density in areas adjacent to cities, with little or no consideration for the carrying capacity of the land, eliminating farms and other areas acting as buffer zones (remember they also believe that farming is bad for the environment, and being primarily vegan and gluten intolerant, they didn’t see the need for cows, milk, or wheat), and last but not least, re-allocating funds to absolutely insane pursuits, such as gender-neutral bathrooms, paid feminine hygiene products, and absolutely useless radical left projects acting as black holes for tax dollars, instead of planning and managing as required.

The result of this extremist insanity was seen last year in Australia, as well as today in California, Washington and Oregon States, where even the suburbs of Portland are at risk to be burnt to the ground by completely out of control fires, and where the highest human toll due to wildfire is to be expected in the state of Oregon. Ironically, these wild fires have also wiped out more wildlife than natural or controlled fires ever have over several centuries.

Clearly, the situation has nothing to do with global warming, and everything to do with Marxist toxic ideology in all levels of society. But this is something the degenerated brain of a radical leftist extremist cannot even remotely comprehend.
